Rome Hotel rooms or 3 peopele?

I am new to this board!! While looking a various accommodations in Rome in guide books and in hotel websites, I am finding difficulty finding a room to accommodate 3 people. I am in the very, very early stages of planning a trip to Rome as a surprise college graduation gift for our daughter. Thank you!!

My sister and I and 2 other family members will be traveling to Italy next month. We made all our plans ourselves. At first it was difficult but soon realize that it was not. There are Quad Room for 4 people (2 large beds in one room. There is also Twin Room-( 2 Single Beds in one room) or a Double Room which is for 2 people which is one large bed in one room. Hope this helps.

Would you consider an apartment? Often a great solution for 2 or more people. One bedroom units often include a sofa bed in addition to a double or queen in the bedroom. We like http://www.palazzo-olivia.it/, but take a look at VRBO.com, Homeaway.com, and Cross-pollinate.com too. You'll enjoy having more space, a refrigerator for snacks, and your own little retreat.

Thank you for your responses. I didn't think about an apartment; that would be a great alternative. I did find triples, however, they were in the 5 star hotels, and I need to be a little bit more budget conscience.

Just use venere.com. It will let you hunt triples. Make you primary sort by price, then run down the list until you find a review above around an 8.2 (with a fair number of reviewers). All that's left to do is work out the locations.
