Rome hotel recommendations for family of 4 - all adults?

Hello, does anyone have any recommendations for hotels in the historic center of Rome for $250 or less per night? We are a family of 4 with two college-age daughters, and are planning on staying in Rome at the beginning of July 2022 for 3 nights before making our way north.

Donna Maria Savelli in Trastevere. In a beautiful old convent..lovely gardens..fantastic breakfast..post covid at least..and it was under 300 euro. See what you think! Really a beautiful hotel!

Haven't stayed there yet, so I can't comment from personal experience, but I've booked with Incentrum, and they have a variety of apartment-style accommodations, including 2-bedroom suites. The English version of their website doesn't seem to be working at the moment, but you can look them up on booking and review sites.

Hotel Sonya or Aberdeen near Termini would met your needs. We prefer Termini area for it's convenience to transit and restaurants. It is a bit more busy being closer to the train station but Sonya is in a quieter area across from the Opera House.

My family of four adults is going in a few weeks and I have not been able to find a hotel in the historic center for that low of a price. Some outlying areas can be that price. Airbnbs or something through Booking.com is a better bet for getting rates that low. Good luck!

Look at hotel Julia not far from Trevi Fountain and Piazza Barberini which has a metro stop. Walk a couple blocks and you’re right on the main tourist trail. It’s definitely at your price point. No frills and not fancy, they do serve a breakfast in the mornings. I’ve stayed there several times in the past.

I love staying at The Beehive. Just a few blocks from Termini. Owned by an American family with private rooms and hostel dorms. The owners are super helpful and the accommodations are comfortable and affordable.
