Our family of 4 will be in Rome for one night (6/11) before heading to Civitavecchia to board a cruise ship. We are looking for a good 3 star hotel near the Termini train station that is clean and under $300 for the four of us (either two double rooms or one quad room). Can anyone tell us of a great place to stay that fits this description?

Hotel Sonya is very nice and about 3/4 south of Termini. For our one night stays we use Contilla. It is one block south out the south side door of Termini. Rooms are very functional, clean and breakfast is so so. But for one night very handy.

Hugh, I'd suggest either Hotel Sonya or Hotel Aberdeen, both of which are in the Termini area. It would be a really good idea to book the rooms SOON, as it will likely be busy in Rome in June. For one night stays, I normally use one of the Hostels in that area as the "price is right". Bon Voyage!

Hotel Nord Roma is across the street from Termini. I have stayed twice and it is very nice and reasonable. and a great location!
