Rome Hotel near Spanish Steps?

Need a recommendation for a place to stay one night before checking into our airbnb near the Via del Corso/Spanish Steps/Trevi Fountain area. Booked the flat then found an airfare we couldn't pass up.

Thanks in advance!

Do you need to be near the Spanish steps? I would grab a hotel in the Termini area.

We really enjoyed the Hotel San Carlo. It’s a short block to the Spanish Steps. We splurged for a terrace which was bigger than the room! We dined well at Ristorante Nino a short walk away. It has been there forever. Tuscan food, white tablecloth place, but we felt comfortable in our casual travel clothes. Many older men out with their daughters, so sweet(!). Hotel San Carlo’s website has been hacked so you can book by phone or through Booking.com or the like. Termini is a seedy train station area. We walked through a few years ago (2019, the before times) as some posters on this site seem to like it. Unless I had a early train to catch or did not mind encountering shady characters late at night I would not stay there.

We're booked at Hotel White for our upcoming trip next month. We haven't stayed there before but it gets good reviews. Per Google maps it is 250 meters or a three minute walk to Trevi Fountain and 600 meters or a seven minute walk from Spanish Steps.

We have stayed in the Termini area a couple times at Residenza Cellini. www.residenzacellini.it. It was about 10-15 minutes to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. As recommended up thread Hotel San Carlo was the hotel that our tour group stayed. They all remarked that it was a good location and nice hotel. We were going to stay at Hotel Due Torri in 2020 for a few nights before going to Sicily. We had to cancel due to the lockdown. We wanted to be centrally located minutes from the Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, etc. Hotel Due Torri has been recommended by many contributors from this forum. It's in a quiet location, but close to restaurants and sites. Enjoy your stay in Rome!

Our Rick Steve’s tour stayed at Hotel San Carlo and we enjoyed it and the neighborhood.

The Inn at the Spanish Steps is right there! Not my favorite area though.

Not sure exactly where you're staying so that makes it a bit difficult, but here goes. Check out Hotel Fontanella Borghese. You can walk to The Spanish Steps. We've stayed there several times and have always been pleased. It's very nice, but not over the top. In addition, the Hotel Du Tori was at one time was operated by the same nice folks and may still be run by them.

Just make sure is is full refund. Depending when you are going, Airbnb may become available for an earlier night, or flights may change multiple times. Many are reporting so. Even pre-covid I was experiencing flight changes, sometimes making changes of a day more convenient.
