Hi. I'll be traveling to Rome for 1 week in April and would like to stay in the Testaccio area to be close to my daughter; I also plan to fly to Milan so airport distance is also being considered. I'm overwhelmed w/hotels...any recommendations? Will be w/ a friend; between 12 and 1400.00 for the week, with clean baths and wi fi/ Thank you.

Testaccio is a little far out for me. I would consider staying more towards the center of town. You can find really nice hotels in the Aventine area. This isn't too far from Testaccio area but is close to the metro and termini station.
