Have you decided not to go Egypt after all, or will Rome be part of the trip?

We stayed at the hotel Regno on the Via DI Corso. Great location, great breakfast, near all. We booked directly with the hotel

We are travellling to Rome in May and have booked at hotel navona near pantheon .

I'm so glad you came back with your budget.

I was going to suggest something off the via Veneto which is out if the range......

I do not recommend staying near The Spanish Steps, one time was enough.
Near Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, Palazzo Navona is wonderful, a new design hotel within ancient walls.

We stayed with my family and friends for 5 nights in June at Alberto de Senato. Our room faced the Pantheon, they had a wonderful buffet breakfast, and excellent service. I second Albergo Del Senato. Wonderful hotel with a fabulous rooftop bar. Went up there every evening! Wonderful memories.
