Many museums (except the Vatican museums) are closed on Mondays. So on Monday you might go to the Vatican Museum, and on Tuesday go to the others, if that is what you mainly plan to do while in Rome.

Hello, thanks for the reply. Could you please suggest, what can we visit on Monday an Tuesday? I mean visiting places, not only Museums :) Thanks,
Srinivasa.

Have you got a guidebook, Srinvias? What attrected you to see Rome? Most things will will be open except for those specific things which are closed. Any good guidebook will have the schedules of main attractions. Before we can say if something is open or closed we need to know what it is that you have come so far for. BTW - completely off the topic - I am still watching my videos of IPL 2012 and am down to the last week before the playoffs. I hope KKR did well as I support them. (Don't tell me the result - it will be a week before I am caught up)))

In your PM you say you are already in Europe, and ask if I want you to buy a guidebook. I don't mind, really. That's for you to decide. It will be more difficult if you haven't consulted any guidebooks, most likely. I did previously ask what it is that caused you to want to visit Rome so we could assist you but I haven't seen that. There must be reasons you selekted Rome. What are they? Then we can help you. The reason for the guidebook is to show you what your choices are, to help you choose, to tell you how to get to places, to tell you when they are open and how much they cost... If you don't want to, you could always look at various websites but they will do only a fraction of what a good guidebook will do for you.
