Rome Guides--Massimiliano Canneto

Hi All,

We are finding that a private guide at 200 euro for a family of 4 is cheaper at least on par with other tours in Rome. I have heard back from Massimiliano Canneto, who is available, and is listed in Rick's book. However, I can't find anything else about him on the internet--other guides have at least some reviews. We chose him to contact, because he is Catholic and we would like that for the Vatican tour. Has anyone used him and what were your impressions?

Thanks! Grazie!

I haven't heard of him so I can't help with that.

Which tours were you interested in taking? 200 euros for a family of 4 but how long is the tour and of which sites? If it's for an hour or two hours you can book official tours for much less than that.

Hi,

The tours that I am comparing him to are the 3.5 half-day type tours. I have now added in admission price for the tickets, so the private price does increase to around $280 vs. $250 for a group. I am just weighing the pros on cons of this, but really wanted a review of the individual guide, because that obviously would make a huge difference. Thanks!

I don't know him, but our friends here took there first trip to Europe and used Alessio Vicari-he's on Facebook.

They used him for their family of 4 and loved him !

Hi Cindy,
Massimilano gave us a quote of the Vatican tour for about 3 hours at a total cost of 225 Euro. The no-line admission ticket is an additional 20 Euro per person. It would be more cost effective if we have a group of 6. We will be going in late September.
