can you be more specific. when where what how? bed dynamics 6 single, 3 double, bunk, sofabed. apartment/hotel, separate rooms, euro budget.

Best places to look would be VRBO, booking.com and air b&b.
It would help to know budget, time of year and configuration of group.

I agree with the first reply..... more information would be helpful. Are you looking for three double rooms or a large apartment? What part of Rome and what price and comfort level?
I always prefer hotels as it's nice to have staff available to help with any issues, and getting a good breakfast is important for me.
You might have a look at the RS Italy guidebook as there are many accommodations listed there in various price ranges and parts of the city.

Probably an apartment would be best. We're pretty budget minded since we have a large group. Traveling in late May. We have 2 couples and 2 singles.
