Rome golf cart tour

Hello
I’ll be in Rome for 8 days at the end of August.
I’ll be traveling with a group of 7, including a senior and a couple of small kids. Me and my wife were there 7 years ago on our honeymoon but the rest of the group have never been. Has anyone done a golf cart tour? I think it would be a good way for the group to get the layout of the city early on in the trip. There are carts that can take our whole group and it looks fun.
Is it safe
Do the get close to some monuments
Thoughts please, thank you!

Contact them and find out if they are exempt from the no cars allowed zones. If they are allowed, It might be a fun way to tour. We saw them when we were in Rome last time, 2019/2020.

I see these all over historic center every day and it looks like a great way to get around in the summer heat. They seem popular with families.
Have fun,
Cynthia

We’ve used this company 3 times. Once with 12, 2 years later with 6. These were the 6 hour tours. Then 1 evening tour

Our driver was a third generation tour guide. He really knew the city well. Lots of back street shortcuts to Rome’s landmarks, many interesting stories.

If you have a special interest, they will customize
The itinerary for you.

We did a golf cart tour just last week (sadly we returned home last weekend). The outfit we used was called Rolling Rome (I think they also do Segway tours). It was a good way to see a lot of stuff in a couple hours, and our English-speaking guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the various locations we stopped at or drove by. But the best part of it was that we were in the shade (thanks to the roof on the cart) on a blistering hot day and not walking from location to location. That alone was worth the price. I suspect that will also be useful at the end of August.

If you do that at the beginning of your trip, you can then pick out the spots you want to explore more in-depth later.
