Rome for two nights in September

Any suggestions on decent hotel with airconditioning, bar, etc., with price range of approx $100US nightly? Flying in, staying two nights, hoping to see the Vatican, St. Peters, Colosseum and a few more sites before heading to the Amalfi Coast.
