Rome Food Tours

Has anyone done a food tour in Rome? We are staying near the Vatican and would like to do one on a Friday night.

Yes, we did an 'Eating Europe' Testaccio food walking tour that we loved, went back a few times to the neighborhood to eat. (I should have added that our tour guide was a chef and wonderful, we received a list of all the recommended places to eat AND his recipes for many of the dishes we tried, above and beyond!) You could easily do the Trastevere evening one, just note Italians love to get out and walk in that neighborhood, it will be busy! https://www.eatingeurope.com/rome/twilight-trastevere/

And thanks for the reminder, I see there's a new tour in the Campo de Fiori area where we're staying over NY, definitely will try to fit this into our visit. https://www.eatingeurope.com/rome/rome-jewish-ghetto-food-tour/

Definitely another vote for Eating Europe. Did one in Florence and the evening one in Rome. Both were excellent.

Another vote for Eating Europe. Four of us did the Trastevere and loved it.

thank you all for the replies. Our son did the Roman Food Tour in Trastevere and loved that one too. Will also investigate yours.

I’d love to do a food tour when I’m in Rome but I don’t drink … and not surprisingly the tours discussed here seem to include a good amount of wine. I’d rather not pay for wine that I won’t drink (sorry, I’m frugal!!).
Does anyone know of any alcohol-free food tours?

Not sure if they're alcohol-free, but Sophie Minchilli does mid-day food tours. You can find her on Instagram.

Why don't you ask for a quote from whichever walking tour you choose that would exclude wine?
