I’m going to these wonderful cities in 60 days & I would like to do some shopping. I’m mostly interested in leather purse, backpack, wallet, belts & shoes. Wouldn’t mind anything else that will catch my eyes. Can you please recommend best shopping mall/centers or places to buy these items, I’m hoping to buy the real deal & not fall for tourist traps. Thank you.

MAK2323, no replies yet, so I'll chime in. Florence has been famous for centuries for leather goods. There are some streets lined with leather shops selling all the stuff you mention, as well as a whole outdoor leather market. The question though is how much if any of that stuff is really made in Italy. Doubtful that anything cheap, is. There are reputable shops there, that perhaps someone will recommend. Massimo's is the only one I've been to. Do a Search (top of this page) and you'll turn up earlier threads on Leather in Florence.
