From Termini station taking the A Metro to Ponte Lungo to switch to the FL1 train toward Fiumicino, are there clear signs to the FL1 line once you get off the A Metro train? Thanks
I do not know, but if you exit the station on Via Gela, walk about 250 yards along Via Gela and at the next intersection you will see Tuscolana Station, above ground to the right. You can also take the 412 bus one stop to the front of the station.
There will be no signs relating to the FM1 at the Ponte Lungo Metro station.
You have to exit up to the street level on Via Gela and walk to the Tuscolana FS station. The two stations are not connected through underground walkways.
Thank you for your reply.
If you are just trying to avoid the 14 EUR cost of the Leonardo Express, easier would be to take the FL5 to Trastevere and change to the FL1 there. Cost is 8 EUR. Plus it saves the Metro fare to Ponte Lungo.
Or you could get the Metro line B to Tiburtina from Termini and catch the FL1 from Tiburtina
....and, if you are looking for even cheaper, there are direct buses, with no stops, from Termini to FCO, about 6 euro. Only caveat there is time of day, since traffic congestion may occur.
