Does anyone have a suggestion for a delicious, non-touristy Fish/Seafood restaurant (or one who serves fresh fish/seafood)in Rome? I plan to take my boyfriend out for dinner on his Birthday (in 1 1/2 weeks)and we will be in Rome. Thank you ahead of time for suggestions!
Why don't you try this place? http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187791-d1584357-Reviews-Trattoria_Vecchia_Roma-Rome_Lazio.html They have a varied menu including seafood, and it's a very "local" place. We loved it and obviously lots of others give it great reviews, too.
I suggest Pierluigi[INVALID]don't have the address at hand but it is walking distance of the Pantheon. Outdoor dining is an option and the waiter will bring fish to your table before it is cooked for your approval. It is not inexpensive but won't break the bank. Our dinners were excellent.
We had a fantastic seafood dinner at la Rosetta located on Via della Rosetta (I think near the Pantheon). The seafood was incredibly fresh and I had the largest and sweetest prawns ever. Very lovely restaurant. Check out their website: www.larosetta.com.
