ROME - Female adult incontinence pull-ups. Where to purchase.

Hi folks -

I am travelling to Rome for a long layover in late May with my very elderly mother who has incontinence problems. She packs all of her own supplies but we have a very tight layover in Frankfurt and I think there is a 50 percent chance that we get separated from our checked bag which is where she has her pull ups. Can anyone tell me where to purchase pull-up style incontinence diapers for adults in Rome? I believe that in Italy one tends to buy these things in grocery stores but most of the advice I have found is from ten years ago or more and well, things change! I am wondering if anyone around there knows of a grocery or store that stocks. My mother is very tiny, so likely size small. I will be staying around the Colosseum area. I don't have a car, but am pretty handy with transit. Thanks so much for any advice! And just adding my comments to a couple queries here for ease...

I am absolutely going to pack some in our carry-ons, but we leave to a lot of very small villages in Greece the following day and in case our potentially missing case is still in transit I am trying to source a location that stocks so I can cover us in case of a mishap and the last time I was in Italy, pharmacies were really just for drugs as opposed to North American drug stores which is why I am trying to source. Has that changed?

Have you thought about bringing along just two or three to be safe? That should hold her until she is reunited with her bag if there is a problem, and a small number of them should easily fit into your carry-on or personal bag.

You definitely need to pack a few in your carry-on bag, along with anything else important, like medications. I would seek out pharmacies as the grocery stores I saw in Rome were fairly small and had limited items. Go to Google Maps and put in the address of your hotel. Zoom out and click the "pharmacies" button on the top. It will pinpoint pharmacies in that area.

Use Mary’s directions above on Google maps but search for grocery stores

Pharmacies are still small and limited so you will want a large grocery store

You might also ask your hotel for help in finding a store nearby that will carry them
