Rome - Coop Culture Tips

Hi All!

We are planning to visit the Colosseum in August. I'm trying to navigate the Coopculture website, and every upcoming date is "unavailable" for booking. I've heard tickets can sell out fast, so I'm trying to ensure I'm prepared to buy the tickets as soon as they're released. Does anyone know if the tickets are released at a specific time or if the date is rolling or fixed?
Thank you,
Ruth

They are released 30 days in advance. Keep in mind that they are released in Rome time, which can mean getting up in the middle of the night to get the tickets.

Thank you so much! To confirm, 9:00 AM Rome time?

Has anyone had luck getting up in the middle of the night and getting the tickets? Or do the bots get them all at 9:00 AM on the dot?

I got up early (2 am) to get my tickets for this past March. I missed the first batch that was release at 2 am central / 9 am Italy, but was able to get 3 tickets that became available at 2:15 am Chicago / 9:15 am Italy. They release every 15 minutes.

You have to be quick and check the different types of tickets. I got the tickets with special access to the arena floor as those were the only ones available.

Good luck!!

9 am Rome time. I went online a few minutes before and navigated to the page with the calendar, refreshing the page until the tickets were available (showing green on the calendar).

I didn’t bother trying to get up in the middle of the night, had a couple of dates that would work and just barely managed to get one for 5:45 entry, which actually worked perfectly for me. The ticket allowed entrance to the Forum and Palatine Hill at any time in the subsequent 2 days, so I did that the next day. Be ready—know the different types of tickets and which dates/times work because if you hesitate, they disappear in 15 seconds. You have time to finish paying, but they get snapped up fast!

Thank you all for your help!! I might need to buck up and set a 3AM alarm...would be a bummer to miss out. Good to know that it worked for some of you. :)

I had this problem and ended up buying same-day on Viator. You show up to the "tour" at constantine's arch, they give you the ticket and then it's off to the races.

Not ideal but it got us in!
