Help! I waited to long to book our Colosseum tour, the main thing my son wants to see. I was looking at the viator tours Ancient Rome and Colosseum Tour: Underground Chambers and Arena ( was exciting to go underground to see where the animals were caged and walk on the colosseum floor.- we are available April 2nd in afternoon or anytime on April 3rd. Is there another reputable company you would recommend.

We are taking City Wonder's "Colosseum Underground Tour with Arena Floor, Upper Level, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill" in June. Great reviews too. Good luck!

I agree with Walks of Italy. It does say they have April 2 available. You join the Coopculture tour for the Underground portion and then Walks of Italy guide takes over. When I did the tour there were about 10 people on that tour we ran into them several times after the Underground tour on Paletine Hill, the guide seemed nice and knowledgeable.

We are also fans of Walks of Italy. The small group Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Tour were amazing.
