Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone has taken the Colosseum tour at night, and if so, does anyone know of any tour operators that are different than the 5 or so you get by Googling? The Rick Steve's book doesn't specifically discuss this type of tour. Those companies I have tried are sold out for the days we will be there (I know this is a popular tour and there are not many that go out.). Have tried Viator, Walks of Italy, The Roman Guy, Through Eternity. Any others you know or have used? Thanks!

Probably a dumb question but did you try the tours offered by the Colosseum itself?

Hi Kathy, I did try the Colosseum itself, yes. My trip is next week, so I may just be out of luck but I wanted to see if the community knows of any other options. Thanks!

OK, try Dark Rome? That tour company has a pretty good all-around reputation (although I haven't personally used them) and I've seen positive comments about them on the RS forums over some years. Their tour isn't cheap but if your heart is set on a night visit....

I took the night tour with Dark Rome and it was very good. I really liked that it was a small group. Highly recommend.
