I need to buy tickets to see the colosseum but not sure which is the best website. Also was told about website "coopculture" but it doesn't show which dates I can reserve.

Jo, unless you are booking a tour you don't need to choose a date when you buy general-entry tickets. Those are good for any two consecutive days until the end of this year. The ticket includes the Colosseum, Palatine and Forum; you can do all three on the same day or the Colosseum on one day and the Palatine/ Forum the next. Or the other way around.
Your pre-purchased tickets allow you to skip the ticket line but not the security check queue...which has been reported to be long during very busy times.
