Rome Colosseum Advance Tickets

I understood that you are able to purchase tickets for the Roman Colosseum up to three months in advance. Yet I have been trying to book tickets in November 2019 for a month and a half, and November tickets are still not available. Any idea why this is, and is there another way to book them?

If it's ordinary, scheduled-entrance tickets you're trying to purchase, you haven't been able to do that because you're too early for the next release. Monthly release of ordinary-entry tickets for Nov. go on sale Oct. 1st at 6:30 pm ROME TIME, either online or through the call center.

Remaining ordinary scheduled-entrance tickets also release every Monday at 6:30 pm Rome time for availability the following week, and daily at 3:00 pm Rome time for availability the next day.

These tickets will be for a specific day and time slot, and will be for self-touring general-public areas. Tickets for tours of areas which can only be accessed with a guide release - or released some time ago, in the case of the underground, arena and third level tour - on different schedules. For example, underground tours for Nov. go on sale at 6:30 pm Rome time on Oct. 3rd.

For complete ticketing info, see this page of the coopculture website. Release dates are listed under "NEWS" on the righthand side of the page; click the [++] symbol after, "At the same time, tickets will also be… " to reveal hidden text. There will be quite a bit to wade through to get to the purchase info applicable to the tickets you want.

LOL, due to the MANY changes coopculture has made to ticketing this past year, I'll swear to the info above only for the next 5 minutes or so. Keep an eye on the site for any further changes, such as upcoming ticketing price increases and options.

Effective November 1 there is a price increase for the open tickets, and this sends you down a different path when you're buying tickets online. Assuming you're on coopculture's site and you want the unguided tickets, follow buy now > Colosseum, roman forum, palatine hill ordinary admission > Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Regular Entrance from 01/11/19.

I bought tickets for November a couple of weeks ago, so you should be good to go.

I am so confused. I want to buy a Roma pass, but still need to reserve a time for the coliseum. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I leave for Venice from the US on Tuesday, and will arrive in Rome a week from Monday. I'm having the same question with Florence and the Firenze pass, and making reservations for the Ufuzzi and Accademia. Help! :)

Ava, you'll find the answers you need on the FAQ pages of both the Roma Pass and Firenzecard websites.

Firenzecard; scroll down to "Do I need to make reservations for the Uffizi and Accademia Gallery with Firenzecard?":

Roma Pass; scroll down to 7.1 "For which museums it is necessary to make a reservation?":

Thank You, Kathy.

It seems really clear for the Roma pass (thanks!!!), but not as clear for the Firenze pass. :(
