Has anyone used the Rome city pass for access to the various tourist places? I recently used the London city pass with incredible success. We will be in Rome for 8 days in late October/November.

Assuming you are referring to the Roman Pass?
Most find that it is not very beneficial- only you can determine that by doing the math.
You still need to book times entries to various sites
