Rome--churches

Sometimes, I really have a heck of a time searching on this forum. I am trying to find a post that was within the last six months. Folks were posting favorite churches, or don't miss Rome churches. It was a rather extensive list. I think at least 10 people replied with contributions. I've searched within the forum and using an external browser. Does anyone recall this post? It might have been this, which was unfortunately deleted. Which, WHY??

I do have the recent post that linked a magazine article of about 5 churches that tend to not be crowded.

I really appreciate the efforts! It was a post in the last 6 months. In lieu of the perhaps missing post of churches, I'd love if folks could reply with their favorite churches. I've been to many on our past trip. These are places of worship we plan to visit on this trip. I'd welcome other suggestions:

Santa maria sopra Minerva
Santa Maria in Trastevere (repeat visit)
scala sancta (I have seen St John in Lateran)
Synagogue
St Prassede (very old mosaics)
St Pudenziana (even older mosaic
Basilica dei saints Cosma e Damiano Open every day 10.00 – 1 pm 1.00 h 15,00 – 18,00 h

I've been to the one by the French embassy with the Caravaggio, St. Peter's, Pantheon, the baroque/rococo four that are very close and I think close to the Pantheon, Santa Maria Maggiore, San Clemens.

I also have this list:

I liked Santa Cecilia in Trastevere, too. Be sure to see the crypt, which may close a bit earlier than the church's visiting hours.

I'm sure jules knows this because I've mentioned it several times previously, but for other readers: Italian churches, especially those that don't charge entry fees, often have a coin-fed box controlling lights to illuminate frescoes and/or mosaics. Always have some 1-euro coins with you; I needed them at several of the churches on this list.

Chiesa de Gesu, the Jesuit church near the Patheon has the most incredible ceiling in the entire city.
