Rome B&B

Has anyone stayed in Casa Carra or Tolentino Suites? I'm looking for a good B&B in Rome.... it has to have internet access and a private bathroom.

If you haven't stayed in either of those, but have some advice on another B&B, please let me know! Thank you for your time!! :)

Hi Marie,

My husband and I stayed at Le Finestre sul Vaticano B&B (www.romabandb.it) and we liked it there. It's near the Vatican and only 2 blocks from the subway so it's very easy to get to all the main sights in rome. It was approx 90EUR a night there. It included a good breakfast (Cereal, toast & jam, Yogart, juice). The hosts were very nice and were always willing to give us advice. Even when we had to leave early in the morning the last day they left out breakfast for us.

I would recommend them.

Have a great trip!

Nicolas Inn is a top-notch B&B option. Check out the many fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor.com. Great location (5 min. from Colosseum), large/clean rooms with nice bathrooms, internet, English-speaking hosts, etc. You won't be disappointed, I promise.

Marie,
We are staying at Baldassini B&B in Rome near the Pantheon and Piazza Navona
in May 2010. They have a choice of three rooms ranging in price from 115 euros
(smaller rm with bathrm outside in hall only for you) to 150-165 euro for the
rooms that are larger with en-suite bathrm.I contacted The Nicolas Inn and their rate in May is 160 euro per night. Enjoy you vacation!

Go to TripAdvisor.com and search B&B's there to find one that is ranked well. I always use the "Arco del Lauro" in Trastevere. It has internet access, private bathrooms, and is air conditioned. They do not serve breakfast there, but give you a coupon to go to the coffee bar around the corner. Lorenza is the proprietor and you will love her. She is so friendly and helpful unlike many aloof Romans I have encountered. An alternative, but a little more expensive, is the "Arco dei Tolomei" which is in the same building as the Arco del Lauro, but upstairs. They are in a quiet neighborhood yet vibrant with nightlife and good restaurants. They are located just across the Tiber from the ancient sites.

We stayed at Le Rose di Bl, 68 euro a night, 7 minute walk to Termini, around corner from metro station, clean large room, A/C, elevator, skimpy breakfast, not fancy but good value for money. They have computer and extra bath in addition to the one ensuite. The owner does not live on sight, but easy set-up.
