Going to Rome next week and since it appears to be close to the Pantheon, we are thinking about visiting Largo di Torre Argentina, the site of Julius Caesar's death. Has anyone been there? Is it worth going? Do you have to pay to visit? If so, do we need advance tickets? Any info anyone has on this site would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.
I wonder fi the cats are still living there. If they are, and you like cats, it would be well worth a visit.
The cat sanctuary is still there. https://www.gattidiroma.net/web/en/
Glad to know about its history. We just went there to see the cats-we reach a state of cat deprivation when we travel.
I've been past it many times. You can see it without going down into it and then decide if you want to pay to walk around in it.
We are not cat lovers, so will need to tread lightly here apparently. Thanks for the tip about just looking down into it - seems like it might be a viable option and less time consuming - plus I don't have to watch out for cats! :)
Thanks.
