Rome - Aqueduct Park and Appian Way

Rick's book doesn't cover Rome's Aqueduct Park (or at least I couldn't find it). Wife & I are interested in seeing this and combining with view of Appian Way. There are many tours that combine these, but there are numerous undesired stops (i.e. catacombs) and overall tour is 5 hours. We simply desire to spend a short time at Aqueduct Park and then view Appian Way form moving vehicle.
I'm thinking to hire taxi in central Rome to drop us at Aqueduct Park. Or another option is having taxi drive from Rome via Appian Way with ultimate destination Aqueduct Park.

This is where I'm unsure and would appreciate experienced transportation advice. Does Aqueduct Park have an office/ visitor center that may hail taxi to return us to Rome? Or if cell service at park, perhaps there is method to hail a taxi?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts!

I am headed to Rome soon and Aqueduct Park is on my list of sites. I used the Rome2Rio website to figure out transportation. It looks fairly easy via public transport from central Rome.

I just watched a YouTube video that talked about these sights and how to take a taxi to them. The channel is called Rozier Roma and the video I watched was called "Top 10 Unseen Sights By Most First Time Visitors to Rome." Maybe it will help you.

My son and I did Aqueduct Park years ago and it was pretty straightforward -- we took the metro and then walked a goodly ways to the park. We were the only people there on the May day we did this. when we did it there was no office -- it was just an aqueduct stuck in a field after walking through a suburban area. I was glad I had mapped it out before our trip because we would not have found it easily otherwise. Of course this was a number of years ago and things chang -- it may be more developed now.

Thanks to all for good information! Especially helpful was video recommended by CK. Rozier #2 recommended site is Aqueduct Park. In video, Rozier provides step-by-step information on riding Metro A line to the park. He also shows satellite map instructions for walk from Metro stop to park. Easy!

Rozier #1 site is Appian Way. Although I appreciated Rozier insight, I'm not open to spending a full day for an 8-mile hike!
