Looking for suggustions on reputable firms or agency that provide short term (10-11 days)apartment rentals in Rome.
mid November is my time-line, can you bargain in this low season with these agencies?

Get a copy of "Paula Frommer's Italy". I bought it along with Rick's based on a criticism of Rick's lack of having recommended apartment agencies. One place she suggests is http://www.rome-accom.com but read her comments. Just pick up the book from a library.
We used her book to find an apartment in Florence.
