We're planning on staying in Rome for 3 days in late June, and we're looking for an apartment. Can anyone recommend an apartment rental agency, or let me know if there are any that you would avoid? Thanks.
We've used vrbo.com a couple of times with no problem. We've just used airbnb.com for an apartment in Rome for this coming May.
We rented on line through Venere.com. Stayed at Apollo Hotel right up the street from colloseum and loved the rooftop breakfast every day. Have fun
I have used vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner) in a number of US vacation locations as well as Barcelona, Seville, and Rome. Excellent communication, lots of photos, details of the apts, and excellent english speakers (I do not speak Spanish or Italian so this was important to me).
Agencies: www.b-b.rm.it/ Which is rome bed and breakfast but which has a lot of rental apartments www.halldis.com www.windowsonitaly.com www.italyperfect.com Listings only - not really an agency, just a place where owners can post their apartments so you need to check references VRBO Homeaway

hi , we have used www.nextaway.com
We used tripadvisor to find ours and had a fantastic apartment. I hope to use it again.
Shirley, have you used the listings you mention (I'm also looking for recommendations)?
Hi everyone, Thanks for the help. I used halldis.com, thanks to the previous recommendation from Shirley, and though we haven't gone on our trip yet, so far they have been great with the clear explanations, prompt replies, etc. (We think) we have booked a great place with them. Robert
