Has anyone booked an apartment in Rome through a company called Rome Loft? If so, are they reputable? I would like to know what to expect in the Campo dei Fiori neighborhood. Or would someone suggest a better company and location. We need an apartment for 5 nights in September..
I stayed my first couple trips by Termini and have stayed the last two in an apartment near the Campo. I am not familiar with Rome Loft though some here may be. In my opinion it is a fine area but can be a bit loud especially on the weekends. Given you are considering 5 days, I don't think there is a location in Rome I would put above it and not many to equal it.
The only time you can be sure that noise is a problem is if the bedroom windows open onto a piazza or above a restaurant with outdoor seating. If you're down a side street it might be plenty quiet. Or if the bedroom windows open onto an inner courtyard then you're probably fine.
Don't know about Rome Lofts. There are lots of apartments you find via vrbo.com and airbnb.com, among others. I would only select places with lots of reviews that are recent, esp. if the reviews tell you any problems that the renters had. That way you know the owner is probably not faking them.
As for n'hood, the CDF is great as long as you're not right on that piazza.
I'm not familiar with Rome Loft, but I've rented an apartment on the Campo Dei Fiori twice from Leisure in Rome. I really like their Porta apartment. It's really suitable only for a couple, since the bathroom is accessed through the bedroom, but it's a charming apartment with a window overlooking the street right off the corner of the Campo. That area is lively...or party central noisy, depending on your viewpoint. I like the area for its convenience, but at night we had to keep the living room window closed or sleeping would have been difficult. You can PM me if you want more detailed info.
My favorite neighborhood!!! Many, many weeks in Rome over many years!
I have not used Rome Loft but the apartments look lovely on the website. In 2011, I rented Argentina House in the Campo area. You can find it on Homeaway. It was a five minute walk from Campo de Fiori, very close to a transportation hub, the Pantheon was about 5 minutes away also. I loved the location and the apartment was very nice. The area is busy but this apartment was quiet. There are great restaurants in the area as long as you stay away from those on the actual Campo. The tram to Trastevere is right outside the door..
The website Initaly.com has several nice apartments.
We stayed in the Jewish Ghetto which is very close to Campo. This is such a central area of Rome. You would be smart to stay in this area. The Ghetto was great too.
We did not rent from Rome Lofts but we considered a couple of their options. They seem to be a good company. We just found an apartment in the ghetto that suited us so we chose that over the Rome Lofts option.
Have a great trip!
I am booked at Apartment Balestrari Terrace in Camp De'Flori for next week. its a one bedroom apt. booked through www.worldwide-accom.com. website is good and company has been very easy to deal with. will let you know how it works out.
This is where we stayed and it was fabulous. It was several years ago, but the same owners still have it. We stayed in the smaller apartment and the owners lived in the next door larger apartment...back then. Now both apartments are available to rent. We rented through www.sleepinitaly.com at the time, but I would just book directly with the owners and bypass the rental agency.

Stay away from Friendly Rentals. We booked with them last time for an apartment right on Campo Fiori. The apartment was nothing like advertised. They also only post the good reviews not the negatives. You have no idea what you are renting.
Super awesome area.
I have rented this apartment off VRBO three times and loved it each time - #336305. It is a one bedroom apartment with living room overlooking Campo dei Fiori, but when the shutters are closed and you're in the bedroom, you don't hear a thing. There is good A/C and the manager of the property - who also owns the penthouse in this building - is very easy to work with. I would not stay anywhere else in Rome.
