Rome and Florence is amazing, some news from our first few days

We are staying in an apartment in the very centre of Rome, it wasnt cheap but we really dont use taxis and wouldnt want to since there is so much to see and experience. Walking is such a pleasure here although it is getting cold now. We did tours of almost everything with Angel Tours Rome www.angeltoursrome.com who have been fantastic. The free Pantheon tour is so worth while. The lines to the Vatican and Colosseium are crazy so make sure to pre buy tickets or get a guide who knows what they are doing. It seems that we cant go any place in Rome or Florence without guys trying to sell us self sticks and everytime we try to take a picture they are in front of the camera selling us stuff its so funny.

Florence was also truly wonderful we will do another day trip after the New Year. It doesnt have the same traffic issues as Rome and is so much smaller you wont really need a guide here but our guide was very good anyhow and we are glad we got one although we do have some good inetent info print outs and got a local sim so we can google search stuff and read on our tablet. We are using a wind sim card which is unlimited and fast enough.
The food in both cities is divine but do go to places which have been recommened

make sure to look at Italotrain.it they are so much better than trainitalia and the wbsite is much easier to handle
