rome airport transfer (car/sedan)

I did some preliminary research on the cost of an airport transfer to the city (2 people, 50-60 euro by sedan). Was curious if anyone else had expereince using car service, any company recommendations?

train is about 20-25 euro from airport to termini, then we will have to cab it from there to hotel (southwest of the colosseum)

trying to figure out the most cost effective way. thanks for the assistance.

The train fare from the airport to the termini station is 14 euros each. A taxi to any hotel within the city walls is 40 euros fixed rate. Transfer services will charge between 45-55 euros. I like romecabs.com and airportconnection.it.

It will be cheaper to take a cab directly to your hotel. This will also save you time as you won't have to go to the termini and then catch a cab to your hotel.

I sent e-mails to a bunch of taxi/shuttle/limo services in Rome and the only one that responded to me with the 40 euro price (the rest were higher) was info@romeshuttlelimousine.com. I haven't taken my trip yet, so I can't tell you about their service, but they have been very responsive and helpful through their e-mails.
