Rome, airport hotel?

We are looking for a safe hotel for a 6:30 AM Rome departure to CDG Paris on Air France and then on to U.S. Any recommendations? Would you recommend airport hotel at this time of flight?

Don't want to rely upon public transportation that early and thinking we could take free shuttle or public transportation night before and save $50 cab fare the next morning. We won't have a car; just train and public transport. Thoughts?

There is a Hilton in the Airport. I stayed there a 2 yrs ago and it was an ok hotel. Makes it easy to return the rental car, and to catch an early AM flight. I had a 6:30am flight to the US, and was very glad to not be coming from historic center Rome, which I had done the year before, getting a cab at 230am.......

I'll second the Hilton. If you want to stay at the airport, it's the most convenient one.

I see there is a Hilton and Hilton Garden but it seems like the Hilton is closer to airport.

Hilton is in the Airport, I think the H Garden requires a shuttle. The Hilton is across street from terminal, and they have these elevated bridges (they look like hamster tubes) to walk between garages and the terminal. Hilton would be a better choice if u are willing to pay for the convenience.
