We are flying from Bari, Italy to Rome Fumicinio airport. We land around 10:33. We have only carry in bags(2). We then fly out at 12:10 to Manchester airport in the UK with the same 2 carry ons. Will we be able to make our flight. They are two separate flights, two different airlines- Ryanair is the first and Jet2 the second. Will we be able to make it? I have heard it’s like a 30 minute walk to the next gate. We are senior citizen's. We are going to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Thank you for any help and advice.
Probably not. Smaller jets like the ones Ryanair and other carriers use often park out on the tarmac in Rome, then they send a bus to take you to the terminal. Figure that's 30 minutes or more. Then at the departure gate in Rome another bus out to the plane. Jet2 says it can close boarding up to 30 minutes before the flight so that's 11:40. if fate is smiling on you then it could work but I wouldn't bet on it; a slight delay with Ryanair and you don't make it. And of course either airline might change their schedule for your flight before your trip.
There is a direct train Bari to Rome. Take it the nite before your flight to Manchester and spend the nite in Rome. Or book the entire trip on one carrier.
I would look up the arrival gate/terminal of the Ryanair flight and the departure gate/terminal of the Jet2 flight so you can project how long it will take so you are prepared for it. The day of the gates can always change but usually the terminal will not.
**I just read the previous post and completely agree with the idea to train in the night before as that would eliminate your risk.
It probably is a hike. Ryanair, the last I knew used Terminal 1, can't speak to Jet2, but since it is to a non-Schengen country, probably terminal 3.
The big question is if you can stay airside and not have to go through security again. This will require you be checked into your Jet2 flight and have boarding passes. You also will need to go through Schengen exit immigration, not much of a hassle, but still a line.
Under 2 hours is tight, you really will need more info on where you arrive and where you leave from, and if you can stay airside. If you have to leave the secure zone, then go back through security, your chances diminish greatly.
Regardless, I would have a plan B in case you miss your flight.
Boarding gates may close up to 30 minutes before your departure.

You may have even less time than you think.
I suggest a new plan; what you outline looks like there will be no 51st anniversary celebration :-)
