Looking for suggestions on what to do my last 1/2 day of travel.
Will be coming into Rome Termini at 13:00. Thinking of taking the train all the way to the Rome airport (dropping luggage off at our hotel near the airport). then sightseeing. Any ideas of what to do near the airport? Any restaurant suggestions? or should we go back to Rome for 6-7 hours?

Consider storing your bags when you arrive at Termini - either inside the terminal or outside using a left luggage service such as Stasher. Enjoy your afternoon in Rome, have dinner, collect your bags and head to the airport.
You don't mention the hotel - is it at the airport, or in the town of Fiumicino?

Yes our hotel is in Fiumicino (5 min from the airport).

Ostia Antica is near to Fiumicino but as far as i know there's no public transport so you'd be getting a taxi. For me I'd spend the time in Rome itself unless you've already ticked all the boxes (surely not?).
