Rome accommodations for a family of 4

Hi, We are a family of 4 with 2 older teens. Most of the hotels I'm seeing do not accommodate more than 3 people in a room. I'm looking for hotel with at least 2 queen beds in the room. I'm also open to Airbnb. This will be our first time in Rome and would like something in a good area near attractions.

Doubtful you will find 2 queens in a hotel in Italy unless it’s an international type chain hotel

Use booking.com and use the filters to look for exactly what you need

A “family room” is likely what you are looking for but you may find that 2 rooms works better as you’ll have 2 bathrooms that way

We prefer to stay in historical center - somewhere near Pantheon, P Navonna, Campo de Fiore
From there you can walk most anywhere

You just need 2 rooms for 2 people. I doubt if the teens will want to be that close to you anyway.

How long are you staying & what's your budget? We were in Rome in July with 3 kids between 16-25 and we all definitely appreciated having an apartment with separate spaces.

We stayed for a week in a 2bed/2ba apartment right on Piazza San Calisto in Trastevere – great location. The apartment was charming & quirky but a little run down. The kitchen wouldn't be adequate for making a proper dinner, but was more than enough for breakfasts & lunches. The Piazza is very busy at night, but the double glazed windows kept out most of the noise & the bedrooms were away from the Piazza. We found it on the the RomeLoft website. I think the listing is called 'Trastevere Design Apartment' or something similar.

We returned to Rome for 2 nights at the end of our month-long trip and stayed in an Airbnb near Piazza di Spagna that was even nicer than the Trastevere apt. Large 2-3 br/1.5 ba (the living room can convert into a 3rd private bedroom). Large dining room, well-equipped, eat-in kitchen. The location was right between Via del Corso & Piazza di Spagna. Search for 'Belsiana Street.'
