Looking for advice re places to stay in Rome! We are heading to Italy in late April, staying in Roma for two nights and we plan to do a lot of sightseeing during that time! We prefer to stay in a small (friendly) hotel, or perhaps a bed & breakfast ... rather than the large commercial hotels. We don't care about fancy amenities as we'll be out and about, but we do care about location and cleanliness. Any recommendations about where to stay would be greatly appreciated! Tino.

If you would just look down the page you will probably find a dozen recommendations since the question is asked daily. We stay in the Termini area -- Sonya, Aberdeen, and Contilla. About in that order, all three star hotels, small local hotels.
