Rome - AC - Florence - Venice in 11 Nights

First time in Italy and I definitely need itinerary help! We fly into Rome the morning of May 13th and leave from Venice the morning of May 24th. We'd love to see the Amalfi Coast, but is it doable in the amount of time with have? If not, then perhaps two nights in a Tuscan village.. How many days would you recommend in each locale? We aren't huge museum goers, but do want to hit the major sites and also still have some rest and relaxation time. I appreciate any recommendations and travel tips (best method) between destinations. Thanks!!

The Amalfi Coast is almost 200 miles south of Rome, and it might push you to visit on this trip.
Rome is a 4 day minimum city. Florence is a 3 day city, not including time to tour the hilltowns like Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. Venice is a 3 day city too.
The fast trains (with reservations) is the best way to get from Rome to Florence and from Florence to Venice. Siena is best by bus from Florence--across the street from the train station.

First decide how many days you wish to spend in Rome, Florence, and Venice. You could easily add some time in rural Tuscany, but that would still be a little tight. I don't see how to include the Amalfi Coast unless you just skim some of the cities. So, mull over exactly what you want out of the trip and it will be come clear.
If you decide to rent a car for the Tuscany part, you could see some nice seaside scenery in Tuscany or Liguria.
