Rome - 11 people (4 families / 7 adults and 4 kids)

Alright, I know this is kinda a crazy/specific topic but I'm wondering if anyone has stayed in the Prati area with a group like this. I've checked vrbo, airbnb and a couple of Rick Steves suggestions but I'm looking for some first hand experience and help. The Prati neighborhood looks great and we're all in pretty good shape. Stairs are no problem nor is walking. However, it's always nice to be close to a safe bus or metro stop. Any suggestions a specific place that could suit us? My thanks in advance for the help.

I would highly recommend Prati as an area. Easy to get around on all sorts of transportation (bus, Metro, tram) and good base for walking to many sites as well. As to specific apartments, just try VRBO, Cross-Pollinate, etc. The latter site is not as well-known, very local and worth a try. You will most likely need more than one apartment with that many people.

The above apartments in the Prati are nice and well located. I have only stayed in a smaller apartment but they do larger apartments. The wording of the descriptions is a bit unclear but look at the floor plans (the sofas become double beds). The Augusto apartment has a bedroom with double bed, a bedroom with two single beds, and a sofa bed for another two people. the Chiudi apartments have two bedrooms with double beds and two living rooms with sofa beds so they can sleep 8 people.
