Has anyone used the romashuttle.com service for pick up from the airport and back? Or does anyone have a better suggestion for getting 4 people with 2 checked bags from Fiumicino to an apartment near the Piazza Navona?

when going IN to rome, unless I were staying very, very near the train stataion, I like taking an auto service. Our ride to trastevere cost 60 euro. You go direct from airport to hotel door. You do not need to shuffle bags one or two times, etc.

We used Rome Shuttle Limousine on a couple of times last fall. They met us right outside of baggage claim and took us directly to our hotel. The price for 3 people with luggage is 35 Euro (not including tip). It was less expensive than the train/taxi combination for two of us and we didn't have to hassle with our luggage at the train stations or taxi stands. http://www.romeshuttlelimousine.com/Inglese_p.htm

I just noticed you mentioned 4 people... The price for 4-5 people is listed as 50 Euro.

Thanks for all the help from everyone. We've decided to go with shuttle pick up from the airport and a private pick-up for the departure from Rome. Thanks to whoever wrote about getting to the airport 3 hours ahead!!
