WE are going to be in rome for 1 full day and 1 half day. is it worth the purchase of romapass. WE are getting it because we are going to see coliseum and we need unlimited local trainsportation option. If we get this then we might go see borghese mesuem too. Can anyone recommend on getting and other biggest reason of getting is NOT STANDING IN LINE AT COLISEUM. (unless there are other alternatives to this) I also heard about a 6 euro one day pass unlimited transportation. where can i get that and what is it called Please ADvice thank you
We are in Rome, bought the Romapass. No lines and we thought the best part was using the transportation system. Our biggest challenge was understanding the transportation system. Our hotel staff has been so helpful.
You can get the one-day pass at any tobacco shop or newsstand that sells bus tickets. Keep in mind that it's not a 24-hour pass, it expires at midnight on the day you validate it. You can reserve a ticket for the Colosseum in advance and avoid the waiting line that way, instead of spending a lot of money for the Romapass, which is good for 3 days. For the Borghese, reserve ahead and just be there 20-30 minutes before your appointment time.
The romapass is probably not the best solution for you. With only a day and a half I would suggest buying transport tickets as you need them or buying a day pass for the full day and tickets as you need them for the half day. For the colosseum you can purchase tickets online which will allow you to bypass the long lines. The romapass won't save you any money in this case and to buy it just to skip the lines will be a waste of money. donna
No matter if you use the Roma Pass or not, if you want to go to the Borghese Gallery you have to have reservations in advance and go only for the time your reservation is for. You have to pay for the reservation fee regardless. If you are not there 30 minutes in advance the ticket is likely to be given away and you won't be able to get in.
