We are 1 night in Florence and though we rented an apartment with kitchen I am thinking to go out for dinner. Can someone point us to a nice, romantic restaurant that is frequented by locals maybe? Thanks
There are a couple of places we can recommend. One is on the Pitti Palace side of the river and is called Olio & Convivium Gastronomia Restaurant. Excellent food and atmosphere. Another is Giglio Rosso. I can get to them but don't remember the street names. You can just google them and get the addresses.
Thank you I will research them!
Sesto sull'Arno (rooftop of Excelsior hotel) is great for a special dinner with romantic views. A bit upscale and not inexpensive, but for a special occasion the view is worth the splurge.
The Panorama restaurant on top of the Scaletta hotel offers great views for less,
If you are in for a taxi or bus ride to Fiesole, I recommend the Reggia degli Etruschi.
Oops, forgot you wanted romantic views. The two I recommended don't have views, but the food and atmosphere are still excellent!
We were in Florence in late June and were taken to dinner on the rooftop of Grand Hotel Baglioni. The food was very good and we were overlooking the Duomo. There were definitely locals eating there.
