Hi There. My fiance and I are just starting to think about where to go for our Honeymoon in November 2008. Both of us are so open, it's a hard choice to decide. We have been to Argentina, England, Amsterdam and Hawaii. We have considered going back to Hawaii, but would love to try something new. We are looking for something relaxing and beautiful weather...good food, culture, and of course romantic! The places we have thought of are: Greece, Spain, Italy, Hawaii, Paris and Mexico. Any suggestions to steer us in a direction?
If you are looking into Spain, you might want to also check out Portugal & not just Lisbon-- not as expensive as the rest of western Europe, excellent food, amazing history, romance--- why not, although, that's a very personal issue. Do you like port?
Kelli,
A lot of the lodgings and other facilities in the Greek Islands will probably be closed for winter in November, so that's not a real good choice. Northern Italy will probably be a bit cold and gray, so Venice, Lago di Como or the Cinque Terre wouldn't be good.
HOWEVER, the Amalfi Coast may still have decent weather, so staying in Sorrento or Positano might be an option? You could also consider southern Spain or Portugal (the Algarve).
Congratulations and happy travels!
Since you on the West Coast, why not Bali or Fiji?
