Do you have your airfare already? March (2016?) is just around the corner and some of the best fares are likely gone already.

Where will you be arriving from? Where are you flying into and out of?

Have you been to Italy before? Where did you go, and what did you like and not like?

Do your 15 days include flying days, or is it 15 full days in Italy?

More information from you will result in a tailor made answer. As vague as your question currently is, I'm afraid you will get people guessing, and you will wind up with a generic answer.

Verona does evoke a certain amount of romance. Genuine or concocted, it doesn't really matter, for it's still a wonderful city regardless. Perhaps ...
Venice (3nts) >> Verona (1nt) >> Florence (3nts) >> Amalfi/Sorrento (4nts) >> Rome (4nts)
Siena could be an alternative to Verona.

I agree that knowing what you have seen in Italy before (and how you felt about it) would be helpful. For instance, I think Rome is very romantic, but others disagree.

If you are willing to go off the mainland, you can't beat Taormina for romantic, and other parts of Sicily would be great too. There are flights from Naples to both Catania and Palermo, so you could connect Sicily with Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.
