Check out "The Golden View" restaurant. It has a great view of the Ponte Vecchio bridge and is right on the Arno River. You will need reservations unless you plan on eating at 6:00. They have a website that you can access. The view of the bridge at sunset is truely a "Golden View." One of the contributors to this forum recently ate there for lunch and recommended that you don't order the house wine. I ate there last September and had a great meal.

Another vote for Golden View. We had a lovely lunch there last Sunday with a window seat overlooking Ponte Vecchio. We chanced upon a sung mass in San Miniato church then walked down through Piazza Michelangelo to the restaurant.
If you have a hankering for steak during your stay, Le Fonticine on via Nazionale 79r was quite good.
