roman hotels

We will have an afternoon and evening in Rome after having spent a week in tuscany.Need a recommendation on a hotel where we can walk to a number of sites. I am really wanting to see the pantheon. Would like to spend under $300 well under if possible.

Do you have the RS book for either Italy or Rome? He's got excellent information just like this.

Try Hotel Paba, as recommended by Rick Steves. Very small, we had a large room with A/C for a very good price. Within 5-10 minutes walking distance to the Colosseum, the Forum and historic centre of town. Very clean, breakfast served in room, nice restaurants close by and a few alimentari very near. Enjoy!

Check out Hotel Nerva. Its location -adjacent to Forum is unbeatable, staff is very helpful. We enjoyed staying in room #4 on first floor which has a little private patio-not scenic but a pleasant place to sit with a glass. Mike DC
