All the catacomb posts are very old. I notice Rick Steves only talks about 2 of the Roman Catacombs but San Domitilla has also been mentioned. We are going to Rome in March and would like to visit one. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best one? Or one more preferential with kids 7-15?
The Capuchin Crypt near Piazza Barberini on Via Veneto is one suggestion. I enjoyed a small group (12 people max at the time, per website now 18) tour with Walks of Italy that also included Santa Maria dell'Orazione museum and crypt, and San Sebastian tomb along Via Appia. Excellent guide, tons of information and detail, comfortable transportation on small bus.
