Where is the best place to buy either/both of these passes? I'm not sure which we are going to get - still trying to decide how many sites we'll be going to. I'm sure that we'll want the transit pass - even if just for the convenience. Any comments appreciated.

You can buy them both at any TI. You can buy the transit pass alone at most tabacchi shops.
