Does the Roma Pass skip the line for the Colosseum? I read on Ron in Rome to purchase tickets online to skip the line-but don't you get a discount with the Roma Pass?

Yes the Roma Pass allows you to skip long lines. It is good for 3 days. There is no advantage to buying it ahead of your arrival.

I'm not sure whether the Roma Pass will allow you to skip the line at the Colosseum, but I highly highly recommend hiring a tour guide to lead you around the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. There are virtually no signs, so you don't know what you're looking at - the guides provide a lot of really useful information. Plus, guided tours get to skip the line, which is really valuable in the summer when there's a long, long line for the Colosseum!!

The Roma Pass gets you to the skip-the-line line. It's valid for 3 days, but not 72 hours. It expires at midnight at the end of the third day. Also valid on metro and buses.
