I am about to go to Rome and was going to get a Roma Pass. Does anyone know if it's better to buy it online before you get to Italy? Am I better to just get it there? Also, does anyone know how to get through to the Roma Pass people at the 060608 number from the US?

Well you can purchase them online but they are very easy to get here in Rome. The web link with all the info is:

To call direct, try 011 39 060608 from the US. The 011 is the US international dialing code, the 39 is the country of Italy, the 06 is city of Rome... and then the phone number at the local exchange is 0608! That should work... I've never called it from the US though?
There are many places to buy the pass - click on the "BUY" link of the home page above and you will see many options.
I'd just wait till I was here due to the easy availability.
