Roma pass

The Roma pass is not such a great deal anymore. I bought one, 72 hour pass, and was told that now you also have to have a reservations at places like the colosseum. The earliest spot is the end of June so I had to book a tour. Basically now paying double.

They changed that rule on March 1, and I would agree that having to make a reservation for the Colosseum greatly diminishes the prior convenience value of the pass. A tourist can, however, make their reservation before they get to Rome. They do need to pay attention for when tickets will be released for the month they'll be in Rome and nail down their time slots as soon as those become available.

Still, if you have to do that just to use the pass - and do that for the Borghese as well - one might as well just get tickets through the museums' own websites?
